Pacific Dunes Golf Course, ranked amongst Australia’s best.

Golf Course Press release

The Pacific Dunes Golf Club in Port Stephens is celebrating news that the course has been awarded superior rankings by two leading golf magazines. Golf Digest and Golf Australia have each released annual rankings for Australia’s top 100 golf courses and Pacific Dunes has been ranked number 26 and 54 by the respective publications. Both rankings are improvements on previous years and show Pacific Dunes to be leading the way in establishing Port Stephens as a prime golfing destination.

Pacific Dunes Golf Operations General Manager, Kurt Linde, said his team was delighted their hard work had been rewarded and said new equipment had been bought to make the course even better. “Our green keepers work diligently to make Pacific Dunes a world-class course so these rankings are a pat on the back for us but we’ve now procured new, eco-friendly, green-keeping equipment to make the course look even better and new golf carts are now also available to enhance the experience for players,” Mr Linde said.

He said Pacific Dunes had hosted a string of national golf championships in 2016 and more major events would be held on the course this year and next including the Australian Police Force Championships in March, 2017, and the Australian Veterans Golf Championships in November, 2018.

Pacific Dunes boasts a spectacular 18-hole championship course which winds through native woodland and wetland, and was commended by Golf Australia judges for its innovative design and well-manicured presentation. Pacific Dunes also recently enhanced its product offering and opened a $3 million Country Club, complete with The Greenhouse Eatery, bar and golf shop.
