The Herald Pacific Dunes is leading the way in residential golf course living in Australia and, at the same time, helping transform the face of Medowie.

“More and more families are moving into the Medowie area for the lifestyle with access to a range of services and infrastructure that were not there just three or four years ago.
“Besides a world class golf course, Pacific Dunes will continue to develop a range of infrastructure to help support the growing community.
“An example of this is the recent opening of a much needed childcare centre.
“Future plans for Pacific Dunes community including the development of seniors’ living accommodation and neighbourhood precinct including a small retail centre.
“The growth within Medowie has been fuelled not only by outside influences but from within, demonstrated by the fact that Medowie locals are leading the pack in sales at Pacific Dunes.
“More than 70 percent of sales in the development’s Hillside stage 2 precinct have been to current Medowie residents impressed by Pacific Dunes lifestyle benefits and world class facilities.”
Ms Emerton said Pacific Dunes offered residents a range of lifestyle facilities apart from the 18-hole championship golf course and golf shop, including walking and cycling tracks that wind through the natural bush and the community park Angophora parklands.
“The community facilities were opened earlier this year and include tennis courts, a swimming pool, barbecue facilities and a community summer house.
“Pacific Dunes has strong links to the local community, regularly supporting local groups through sponsorship such as the Port Stephens Junior AFL club, the Birubi point Surf Lifesaving club and Alexander Park Dressage club, as well as local School Medowie Christian School.”
A $180 million dollar master planned golf and residential community, Pacific Dunes was named Best Masterplanned Residential lifestyle development at the Urban Development Institute of Australia’s NSW awards for excellence.
The golf course has also received critical acclaim, being recently named NSW’s Best Public Access Golf Course by Golf Australia magazine and the 12th best public access course in Australia.
