Hosted by tennis great Patrick rafter the tournament  featured more than 25 of Australia’s most well known sporting personalities including NRL’s Alf Langer, Paul Vautin, Gordon Tallis, Peter Sterling and Tennis Aces John Newcombe and Todd Woodbridge, participating in the two-day event.

After completing two rounds of 18 holes at the Medowie course, league stalwart Krilich emerged triumphant, shooting 170 gross with AFL star Corey McKernan (171) a close second. Recent Melbourne cup jockey Damien Oliver was the Nett winner, shooting 157. Pacific Dunes marketing coordinator Clair Emerton said the 2007 Golf Challenge was a great event. “We had some of the countries brightest sporting stars kick off the event in previous years and today saw many of our favourites returning to the greens, as well as some exciting new faces,” Ms Emerton said.  “The enthusiasm of the celebrities was fantastic and made for a really enjoyable two days.”
